Rightmove Offices
Concept
The brief for Rightmove’s Milton Keynes office was in creating an open socially friendly and fun space work space. The office, in a retail park overlooking a lake with 4 wings is separated by a reception core. Our approach lay in the importance of creating a dynamic, flowing, bold, vibrant and communal work place environment.
The Solution
To do so, we began by opening up the rather corporate entry area and installing cascading atrium steps that lead up to the first floor canteen living room space. This gesture opens up the entry and creates a sense of arrival, but more importantly, visually links the otherwise closed off wings of the floor plates. Allowing visual links throughout the space opens up the office area and encourages circulation and interaction with other colleagues.
